Nerve Blocks

Diagnostic and therapeutic injections that target specific nerves to identify pain sources and provide relief.

What Are Nerve Blocks?

A nerve block is an injection of medication near specific nerves to interrupt pain signals. Nerve blocks serve two important purposes: they help diagnose the source of pain by confirming which nerve is involved, and they provide therapeutic relief by reducing inflammation and pain transmission.

Dr. Ohanyan performs a variety of nerve block procedures using image guidance for precision, ensuring medication is delivered exactly where it's needed.

Target painful muscle knots (trigger points) in neck, back, and shoulders.

Stellate Ganglion Block

For complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) and certain vascular conditions of the arm.

Intercostal Nerve Blocks

Treat chest wall pain from rib injuries, shingles, or post-surgical pain.
